I had a fantastic stay at a charming property in a beautiful location. The hosts were extremely helpful, providing us with all the information we needed through messages. The property had more than enough toilets and convenient parking right in front. The directions to the property were excellent, and the view was incredible even before we arrived.

Our stay at Self Catering Cellb Ffestiniog was more than perfect. The location was ideal, with local amenities and adventurous places nearby. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the beds had lockers with blankets inside. The kitchen had all the necessary services, and there was plenty of outside seating space. The owner was knowledgeable and welcoming, making our stay even better. I highly recommend this place to others.
The beds were not very comfortable, and some of us woke up feeling stiff. However, considering the price we paid and the overall experience, we can overlook this minor inconvenience.

I recently stayed at a self-catering accommodation in Blaenau Ffestiniog and had a fantastic experience. Self Catering Cellb Ffestiniog was perfectly located, allowing me to easily explore Zip World and Slate Caverns without needing to use a car. The train and bus links were also very convenient. The hostel itself had a cozy upstairs living room and plenty of outside seating space. The owner was knowledgeable and the history of the town and hostel added to its uniqueness.
Nothing that I didn't like 😊.

Mind-blowingly amazing stay! Staff sent all info via messages, suggesting awesome places to eat. Surprisingly, many super clean toilets. 2 convenient parking spaces right in front. Easy check-in with key access instructions. Friendly and accommodating staff, gave us great road trip tips. Cosy room with 3 beds for privacy. Clean facilities and a chill-out area with a cool bar top. Free Wi-Fi and parking. Impressive character rooms in an old village police station. Nia, the host, went above and beyond, even helping dry our wet clothes. Modern showers and comfy sofas. Easy check-in with a phone call. Comfy beds with great mattresses. Fantastic facilities with everything we needed. Warm showers and adjustable heating. GREAT location with no parking issues. We'll definitely return!

Great independent hostel, lovely host. Set in the old village police station with character rooms, cafe and bar with chill out area and free WiFi. I was very impressed with this hostel and the host for taking care of us during our stay. All very new and modern, showers were great and new comfy sofas to relax in the evening.
No staff on arrival and closed, a neighbour told us to wait in a local pub, it was raining hard at the time and we had driven up narrow Welsh mountain roads. Kitchen too small.

Very warm and welcoming environment, with a family feel. Uncle Rhys is a fantastic host. the extra effort put into providing little bathroom amenities was thoughtful. It felt more like a home than a hostel. Ideal location for hiking in Snowdonia National Park or visiting Zip World. Walking distance to Co-op, pubs, and takeaways. the whole ground floor was spacious and clean for our group of 7. the beds were comfortable and the rooms had plenty of storage. Rhys was always available for any queries or assistance.
Felt safe, no complaints.

I had an excellent trip to a lovely hostel in Blaenau Ffestiniog. The warm and welcoming environment made me feel like I was at home. The host, affectionately called Uncle Rhys, added to the family feel of the place. The extra effort put into providing little bits for us to use in the bathrooms was very thoughtful. The hostel felt more like a home than a typical hostel. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and good train and bus links. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and provided great recommendations for places to eat. The hostel also had a cozy upstairs living room and a bar on site. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hostel to others.
It would have been handy if there were spare towels, but that was my own mistake for not bringing one. The kitchen was a bit small.

The location of the accommodation is highly praised by past guests, with easy access to local amenities and popular tourist attractions such as the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highlands Railways. The rooms are described as clean and tidy, with lockers and blankets included. The showers are also noted to be modern and great. the hostel offers a bar area with a chill-out zone, free WiFi, and new comfy sofas for guests to relax in the evening.
Some guests mentioned that spare towels were not provided, but this was seen as their own fault for not bringing them and there was a nearby store where they could be purchased.

I had a fantastic stay at Self Catering Cellb Ffestiniog. The owners were extremely helpful and made me feel right at home. The hostel had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I loved the family feel of the place. The bunk beds were comfortable, and there were three bathrooms, which was ideal for a group stay. The owners even suggested great places to eat, and I ended up going to the Grapes Hotel twice because I enjoyed it so much. The value for money is excellent, especially for groups. I would definitely go back again.
